Placing an Ad:
The simplest way to place a sidebar advertisement on The X-Journals web site is to simply click on the the “place your ad here” place-holder ad in the location where you would like your ad to appear. This will take you to a page outline the current price, allow you to upload your ad, and pay for it via Paypal.  Please note that your ad will not appear until it is approved.  See the guidelines below for more information.  If you have questions or need further information,  please write to info at x-journals dot com.

Guidelines:
1. All click-through URLs must open in a new browser window.
2. The X-Journals reserves the right to reject any insertion, graphic, text description, or URL.
3. Banners should be encased in a border and distinct from the content. If borderless, a banner must contain the advertiser’s name to signify that it is an ad creative banner, not content. Ads may not have transparent backgrounds and may never blend into the screen content.
4. Television and print advertising standards prohibit advertisers from issuing ads, infomercials, or infotisements in such a manner that the viewer or reader believes the content is news, rather than advertising.
5. Animation does not have a loop maximum, but total animation time for all loops combined cannot exceed 15 seconds.
6. No host-initiated banner audio is permitted. All audio must be user initiated by click (Host-initiated animation is permitted, but any accompanying audio must be muted until user-initiated by click.) It also must contain visible stop/play and pause or mute functionality.
7. Advertiser must provide all necessary artwork and active URLs to The X-Journals prior to final approval of an ad.
8. The X-Journals will be entitled to reject or discontinue advertisements at any time. In such event, Advertiser will be responsible for only a pro-rata portion of payments due.
9. Advertisers shall bear full responsibility for all products or services offered, sold or licensed through the advertisements or the Advertiser’s website. Advertiser will collect and pay all taxes.

10.  Limitation of Liability; Disclaimer; Indemnification. (A) Except in connection with the confidentiality, solicitation, tax and indemnity provisions herein, damages under any Insertion Order shall be limited to direct damages, not to exceed the amount to be paid by Advertiser hereunder. (B) The X-journals does not make and specifically disclaims any representations or warranties, express or implied. (C) Each party agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the other party and the officers, directors, agents, affiliates, distributors, franchises and employees of the other party from and against all claims, actions, liabilities, losses, expenses, damages and costs (including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees) that may at any time be incurred by any of them by reason of any claims, suits or proceedings arising out of any material breach by indemnifying party of any duty, representation or warranty under an Insertion Order.
